STABLE SOUNDS // 003 -
Third time around we have a corral based in the west, the wild west that is. Stable Sounds 03 is a mix spanning from cowboy love songs to some of the greatest musical scores ever threaded into a steenbeck. My earliest memories of watching films were westerns with my father sitting on the couch, silver screen classics such as Rio Bravo, True Grit, and The Searchers, basically anything with a tune and John Wayne or Elvis. As you get older, curiosity sets in to search and dig up the influences of what you love, broadening your horizon and learning what started where and when, and so we have S.S. 03
// From Clint Eastwood to The Duke, western music varied an immense amount through out the years, ranging from cheesy love longs to some serious string orchestras but in my mind it is impossible to mention western music without mentioning Ennio Morricone, most notably known for his musical scores on The Good The Bad and The Ugly, A Fist Full of Dollars, and Once Upon A Time In The West; he also did a heep of other italian films but thats another story. He is without a doubt the godfather of western music so it is to you Ennio, I dedicate this mix; also to all the gunslingers out there.
